Help Start a Crowd-sourced Sound Library

Mike Niederquell has taken the initiative to start putting together free crowd-sourced sound libraries. The basic idea is a new library each month, and anyone who contributes a recording gets access to the that library. Best of all, it’s free!

This month’s theme is fireworks. I know audio-nerds across America celebrated this 4th of July by standing silent, pointing a microphone to the sky while everyone around them gave funny looks. At least I know I did. Now’s your chance to share and grow your library. The more everyone gives, the more everyone gets.

If you’re interested in contributing, join the Sound Design group on Facebook for more info. (400+ members strong!) If you don’t have Facebook, you could always get in touch with Mike on Twitter.
