I’m always amazed at what a little general processing can do for a recording. You might remember me recording various electromagnetic fields a while ago. This sound came from a color changing flashlight you can see in the video. The original recording was pretty cool, but add some compression, sweeping harmonics, and (Paulstretch) time stretch, and you’ve got what sounds like an alien spacecraft. In my case, I’m hoping to layer it into a robot for a short film project I’m working on.
